EnjoyRust Link · Last updated: 28 September 2026
EnjoyRust Link ("the service") connects a player's Steam account to their Discord account so that we can grant roles in our Discord servers and rewards on our Rust game servers. This policy explains what data the service stores, why, and for how long. The service is operated by EnjoyRust.
What we store
| Data | Source |
|---|---|
| Steam ID (SteamID64), Steam display name and avatar | Steam, when you link |
| Discord user ID, username and avatar | Discord, when you link |
| Link history: which Steam and Discord accounts were linked (or tried to link), when they were linked and unlinked, and who performed the action (you, a staff member, or the system) | Generated by the service |
| Whether you are a member of our Steam group | Steam's public group member list |
| Whether you boost one of our Discord servers | Discord |
| Ban records: which of our Discord servers banned your account, and when the ban started and ended | Discord |
| Your playtime on each of our Rust servers (hours) and the ranks it gives | Our game servers |
| Packages you bought in our store (package, date, transaction ID, price) and the perks they give, with their end date | Our Tebex store, when you buy |
We do not store your IP address, email address, password, or Discord/Steam access tokens. We do not read your Discord messages or your online status.
Why we use it
- The link itself. Your Steam ID and Discord ID are the link. Your names and avatars are shown to you on this website and to our staff, so accounts are easy to recognise.
- Roles and rewards. Our Discord bot gives you the verified role in our Discord servers, and our Rust servers check whether your Steam account is linked before giving linked rewards. Both are removed when you unlink or leave all of our Discord servers.
- Ranks and packages. Your playtime gives you ranks, and packages you buy give you perks, on our Rust servers. If your accounts are linked, our Discord bot also gives you the matching Discord roles (for example your rank or VIP). These roles are removed when the perk ends, when a purchase is refunded, or when you unlink.
- Booster and Steam group rewards. We check your boost status and Steam group membership only to give those rewards. When you press "I joined, check again", we ask Steam for your public group list.
- Support and moderation. Our staff may use this data when handling support requests and enforcing our rules.
We use this data because you ask us to link your accounts, and because we have a legitimate interest in keeping our community and rewards fair.
Who can see it
Your data is used only by EnjoyRust systems: our website, our Discord bot, our game servers and our staff. Our staff can look up linked accounts when needed. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Link and unlink events are posted to staff-only log channels in our Discord servers.
How long we keep it
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Your active link | As long as your accounts stay linked |
| Names and avatar image links in link history | 10 years after unlinking, then removed |
| Link history (account IDs and dates) | 10 years after unlinking, then deleted |
| Ban records from our Discord servers | 10 years after the ban is lifted, then deleted |
| Playtime and ranks | As long as our game servers run, or until you ask us to delete them |
| Purchases and the perks they gave | As long as needed for support, refunds and chargebacks, or until you ask us to delete them where we are allowed to |
If you leave all of our Discord servers, your link is removed automatically and moved to link history.
Your rights
You can unlink your accounts at any time on our website. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it by emailing kay.non@yahoo.com from an address we can match to you, or by contacting staff on Discord.
When you ask for deletion we remove your active link, names and avatars. We may keep the account IDs in link history for the retention period above, only to prevent reward abuse.
If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
